Placette transforms any recipe into a clear, step-by-step cooking plan — separating what to prep from how to cook, surfacing hidden time requirements, and guiding you one instruction at a time, with messy hands and all.

Five ways: paste a recipe link, share a page to Placette from Safari or Mail, pick screenshots from your photo library, photograph cookbook pages with the camera, or paste the text directly. New to the app? Try the built-in sample recipe to see how it works.

Recipes come in every shape, so the occasional one trips us up. Try importing it again, and if it still looks off, email us with the recipe — a link or the text — and we'll take a look and improve how Placette reads it.

Voice control runs on your device, so first make sure Placette has microphone (and speech recognition) permission in your iOS Settings, and that the mic toggle in the toolbar is on.

Supported commands are "next step," "previous step," "start timer," and "pause timer."

To build your cooking plan, Placette sends recipe text to Anthropic's Claude AI for processing; your saved recipes stay on your device. Our Privacy Policy walks through exactly what's sent, what stays local, and the choices you have.
